20 musicians + conductor (6 violins, 2 violas, violoncello, contrabass, flutes, oboe, 2 clarinets, 2 horns, trumpet, trombone, harp, percussion)
Based on the original sound of the Strauss dance bands, this formation is specifically tailored to ball evenings with classical Viennese dance music. The repertoire of Waltzes, Polkas, Gallops, Quadrilles and Polonaises includes compositions by Joseph Lanner, Strauss father and sons, Emil Waldteufel, Carl Michael Ziehrer, Franz Lehár and others. Selected English Waltz, Slow Fox and Tangos complete the program of this stylish ensemble.
